Gibraltar Business Nurturing Scheme
HM Government has established a fund to support the development of new business start-ups in Gibraltar. An amount of £250,000 will be set aside for this new scheme. The Ministry of Business and Employment has engaged extensively with the Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce and the Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses to develop this initiative, in particular, the criteria to be adopted when deciding applications. The funding will be provided to successful applicants in the form of a loan.
Applications for the scheme will be assessed on a points-based system by a committee of three individuals, comprising one member of the Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce, one from the Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses and an official from the Ministry of Business and Employment.
Applicants achieving a preliminary score of 50/100 or more will be invited to meet the committee. Following the meeting, the committee will finalise their scores and they may make a consolidated recommendation to the Minister for Business and Employment to approve the loan.
Application forms and information sheets may be obtained from this website or alternatively from the Ministry of Business and Employment, either at the reception or by email request from the following email address:
