The Gibraltar Fire & Rescue Service headquarters is situated outside the city centre, at Grand Parade adjacent to the cable car station and the entrance to the Botanic Gardens. Its furthest point for an emergency response is approx. seven minutes away dependent on certain uncontrollable factors. The organisation is self-sufficient and is composed of 6 different sections; Operations, Fire Safety/Investigation, Fire/Ambulance Dispatch, Mechanic/Technical Workshop, Administration, Senior/Strategic Management.
