The Department of Social Security advises the public that as part of HM Government’s response to the Covid-19 outbreak, arrangements have been made for;
For those persons who have been unable to provide us with a bank account, to be paid in cash at the Department of Social Security on Thursday 7th May 2020, in a scheduled manner and in a controlled way.
Claimants are advised to check the table below for their respective timeslot:

As a measure to minimise the risk of infection and cross contamination amongst our clients, the department has exceptionally arranged to pay four weeks of Social Assistance on Thursday 7th May 2020, which will reduce the number of occasions on which claimants need to come into the department.
The next Social Assistance payments will therefore be due on Thursday 4th June 2020.
Reminder:
The Public are strongly reminded that the safest method for claimants to receive their benefits or payments is via bank transfer. Therefore, all remaining clients who have not yet provided their bank details or made arrangements to use the account of a relative or close friend are urged to do so urgently.

The public is further reminded that everyone over the age of 70 must stay at home unless going out for exercise. We encourage family members to collect the forms and make alternative arrangements for their loved ones. Anyone over the age of 70 who does not have family support and requires assistance are to register with the DSS so that alternative arrangements can be made.
