ARP SHELTER – ENGINEER LANE EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar (HM GoG) invites expressions of interest for the conversion and use of the underground Air Raid Protection Shelter situated at 29A Engineer Lane for primarily commercial use.
HM GoG will consider proposals for any use compatible with the area and sensitive to the surrounding environment and interested parties will be required to submit plans and details of their proposal. Evidence of financial resources of the applicants to undertake the conversion will be required with their submission.
Schemes need to take account of Heritage and Planning considerations, which are independent of the grant of title over the land and property. Approval will have to be sought from the Development and Planning Commission for the successful scheme.
A plan of the boundaries of the ARP Shelter is available on request at mail@lps.gi.
All enquiries to Land Property Services Limited at, mail@lps.gi, by phone at (+350) 20040200 or at their offices at the address below.
Interested parties should understand that submissions need only be initial expressions of interest, but should include basic details of any concepts including preliminary layout plans and sketches. They should also state uses of particular areas and the premium that would be offered if the submission is selected by HM GoG for further negotiation and discussion.
HM GoG reserves the right to negotiate the level of premium. A process of consultation and negotiation will follow with parties that submit ideas or concepts that are of interest to HM GoG. Such concepts, ideas or proposals may need to evolve or be adapted as discussions or negotiations move forward. Plans and details should be submitted with letters of interest.
These should be marked “ARP Shelter, Engineer Lane, Expressions of Interest” and submitted sealed and addressed to HM Government of Gibraltar and deposited in the Expressions of Interest Box situated at the offices of Land Property Services Limited, 50 Town Range, Gibraltar, not later than noon on Friday 20th August 2021.
