Gibraltar Variant Passport Applications – Now Available Online

Gibraltar Variant Passports can now be applied for online using the link provided below.

The online application service is available for all types of Gibraltar Variant Passports, including:

• First time applications
• Renewals
• Change of particulars (if you are submitting an application for a change of name there is no need to present evidence that you have already started using your new name as requested in Section… of the online application form)
• Lost or Stolen passports

Please use this link only if you are currently residing in Gibraltar and wish to apply for a British Passport issued in Gibraltar.

Once you have completed the online form, you will be required to attend our office at Leanse Place to present:

• Evidence of your current residence in Gibraltar
• Your current passport
• Any other required supporting documents

You will be notified by email and/or SMS when these documents are needed.

Important Information

• Fees:  The relevant fee is payable upon completion of the online application. Please note that fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, even if you withdraw your application or if your application is unsuccessful.

• Applicants who work in Gibraltar but do not reside here must apply in person at our counter in Leanse Place. The appropriate form can be downloaded below or collected directly from our office.

• Processing times are not guaranteed. Applicants should not make travel arrangements until they have received their new passport. We cannot accept responsibility for any travel plans made before the passport is issued.
• Passport applications may be delayed or rejected if incomplete or incorrectly submitted.

Please read the ‘Applying for a passport guidance notes’ carefully before completing your application. You may be contacted by a Passport Officer if additional documentation is required.

Passport Fees

• Adult Passports (16 and over) £77.50
• Minor Passports £51.50
• Persons aged 65 and over: Exempt from fees only when applying in person. If applying online, the standard adult fee will apply.
