Warning for Severe Gale Force Winds - 78/2024

The Met Office has issued a Severe Weather Warning for Severe Gale Force Winds, valid from 3am to 6pm tomorrow, Friday 9th February.
The Government advises the following precautions:
- Secure all outdoor / balcony furniture and loose items
- Avoid unnecessary travel and take extra care if you do have to travel
- Avoid non-essential outdoor activities
- Beware of flying debris, falling branches / trees and potential rock falls
HMGoG schools which do not have INSET days will remain open as normal and are making arrangements to avoid non-essential outdoor time as a precautionary measure.
The Gibraltar Sports and Leisure Authority will make continuous assessments of the situation and will close outdoor sports facilities if required.
