VACANCY FOR YOUTH AND COMMUNITY WORKER – GIBRALTAR YOUTH SERVICE

The Government of Gibraltar invites applications for the post of Youth and Community Worker in the Gibraltar Youth Service. Applicants must, by virtue of their citizenship, be entitled to take up employment in Gibraltar and are, or on employment will be, resident in Gibraltar.

1. Applicants must have successfully completed a recognised course of training for full-time Youth and Community Workers, endorsed by the Joint Negotiating Committee.  Consideration will also be given to applicants who have not yet attained the required qualification, but hold a degree in any field, on the condition that the successful candidates undergo training in order to achieve the said qualification, whilst undertaking the duties of the post over an agreed period. In this case, the salary paid would be that of a Trainee Youth and Community Worker until such qualification has been obtained.
2. The salary for the post of Youth and Community worker ranges from £25,755 to £43,342 annum.
