VACANCY FOR SUPPLY VEHICLE TESTER

DRIVER AND VEHICLE LICENSING DEPARTMENT

 

The Government of Gibraltar invites applications for the post of Supply Vehicle Tester in the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Department.  Applicants must, by virtue of their citizenship, be entitled to take up employment in Gibraltar and are, or on employment will be, resident in Gibraltar.

 

Applicants must possess an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent or higher qualification. Applicants not in possession of the minimum qualifications must have at least six years’ experience as a Motor Transport fitter from a recognised garage in Gibraltar. Applicants must also have at least five years’ driving experience preferably with different types of vehicles.

The post will initially be offered on a contract basis for period of six months with the possibility of renewal and will carry a salary of £23,681 per annum (pro-rata).

Application forms along with copies of qualification certificates and reference letters should be submitted to the Department of Personnel and Development via email to recruitment@gibraltar.gov.gi by no later than Monday 7 April 2025. 

 

Additionally, completed Royal Gibraltar Police vetting forms, along with copies of identification and proof of address, must be submitted with your application form by the closing date. For clarification on the RGP's requirements regarding acceptable documents, please refer to ‘Section 4 – Proof of Identity’ within the vetting form.
