Vacancy for Marine Mechanic – HM Customs

 

The Government of Gibraltar invites applications for the post of Marine Mechanic in HM Customs from members of the public who hold the right of abode in Gibraltar (i.e. in possession of a Gibraltar red ID card).

 

Applicants must have a recognised Indentured Apprenticeship or an NVQ Level 2 or above in the relevant field, or a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a marine environment working with inboard and outboard engines (petrol and diesel).

 

Salary will be payable at the rate of £31,383 in the salary range from £31,383 to £38,876.

 

Applicants will be required to undertake a practical assessment as part of the selection process.

 

The successful applicant will be required to complete and pass specialised training in the United Kingdom, in accordance with the role’s requirements and as a condition of their appointment.

Please note that you will be required to provide all relevant original certificates stated in your application form on the day of your interview.

Additionally, completed Royal Gibraltar Police vetting forms, along with copies of identification and proof of address, must be submitted with your application form by the closing date.
