VACANCIES WITHIN ROYAL GIBRALTAR POLICE –

DETENTION OFFICER

The Royal Gibraltar Police invites applications for the post of Detention Officer.

Applicants must be British Citizens who have been resident in Gibraltar for at least three years although this requirement may be waived if candidates have relevant previous experience in a similar field of employment.

1. The salary scale for Detention Officer post is £22,481; £22,910: £24,466; £25,288; £26,132; £27,011; £28,131; £28,819; £29,521; £30,242; £30,982.
2. Candidates must meet the essential requirements stated in the Job and Person Specification. It should be noted that a pass in the Royal Gibraltar Police Online Entrance Exam will be accepted in lieu of the Essential Qualifications (see paragraph 7 below).
3. Prospective candidates must be able to work shifts, cover a 24/7 response and/or available to work on occasions as required, after normal working hours.
