The Government of Gibraltar invites applications for the post of Prison Officer at HM Prison. Applicants must, by virtue of their citizenship, be entitled to take up employment in Gibraltar and are, or on employment will be, resident in Gibraltar.
The salary scale for post of Prison Officer ranges from £24,222 to £38,640. The successful applicants will commence at the minimum point of the scale.
Candidates must be in possession of a valid ‘B’ class driving license and will be required to undergo a selection process which is broken down into three phases as per below:
Phase 1 – Examination
Location – Bayside School
Date – Thursday 4 July 2024
Time – 1500hrs
Those who successfully complete the tasks undertaken during Phase 1 will then proceed to Phase 2 of the selection.
Phase 2 – Practical Elements
Location – Bleak House & Special Olympics Sports Complex
Date – Saturday 13 July 2024
Time – 0830hrs
Please ensure you familiarise yourselves with this information and come properly dressed and with the appropriate footwear to ensure you can undertake the tasks required.
Those who successfully complete the tasks undertaken during Phase 2 will then proceed to Phase 3 of the selection.
Phase 3 – Interviews for the post of Prison Officer
Location – Department of Personnel and Development, Unit 82-86 Harbours Walk, The New Harbours, Rosia Road, Gibraltar
Date & Time – Interviews will be held during the week commencing Monday 22 July 2024. Those who successfully complete Phases 1 and 2 will be informed of their interview time and date.
