The Government of Gibraltar invites applications for the post of Prison Officer in HM Prison.  Applicants must, by virtue of their citizenship, be entitled to take up employment in Gibraltar and are, or on employment will be, resident in Gibraltar.

Applicants should ideally possess 5 GCSE passes at grades A, B or C (or equivalent) two of which should be English Language and Mathematics.

Candidates must be in possession of a valid ‘B’ class driving licence.

Applicants will be required to undertake a recruitment assessment which includes an entry examination, role play simulation and fitness assessment.

The successful applicants will proceed to an interview for final selection.

The salary scale for the post ranges from £23,717 to £37,834.  Successful applicants will enter at the minimum point of £23,717 and will progress annually on the scale.

The successful candidates may be required to undergo training in the United Kingdom.
