Vacancies for Non-Permanent Youth and Community Support Worker (Non-JNC Qualified or Trainee)

The Government of Gibraltar invites applications for the post of Non-Permanent Youth and Community Support Worker (Non-JNC Qualified or Trainee). Applicants must, by virtue of their citizenship, be entitled to take up employment in Gibraltar and are, or on employment will be, resident in Gibraltar.

Applicants must possess:

  1. An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Youth and Community Work; or
  2. Possess the locally recognised course ‘Introduction to Youth Work Skills’ endorsed by the Gibraltar Youth Service: or
  • A commitment to obtain this training course during the first year (Trainee).

The salary for the post of Non-Permanent Youth and Community Support Worker (Non-JNC qualified) is £12.21 per hour.

The salary for the post of Non-Permanent Youth and Community Support Worker (Trainee) is £8.90 per hour. Upon successful completion of the ‘Introduction to Youth Work Skills’ course endorsed by the Gibraltar Youth Service, trainees will progress to the Non-JNC qualified hourly rate. Failure to complete the course within the first year of employment will result in the contract being terminated.

Application forms along with copies of qualification certificates should be submitted to the Department of Personnel & Development via email to recruitment@gibraltar.gov.gi by no later than Thursday 14 November 2024.

Please note that you will be required to provide all relevant original certificates stated in your application form on the day of your interview.

Additionally, completed Royal Gibraltar Police vetting forms, along with copies of identification and proof of address, must be submitted with your application form by the closing date.
