Vacancies for Non-Permanent Educational Psychologist

The Government of Gibraltar invites applications for the post of Non-Permanent Educational Psychologist. Applicants must, by virtue of their citizenship, be entitled to take up employment in Gibraltar and are, or on employment will be, resident in Gibraltar.

1. Applicants must possess:

 (i) A minimum of an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology or equivalent,                 accredited or recognised by the British Psychological Society as giving               eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the BPS (GBC),

  (ii) Successful completion of post graduate professional training in Educational         Psychology (approved by the British Psychological Society) confirmed by             graduation and,

  (iii) a current and valid HCPC registration as Practitioner Psychologist.

2. The salary for the Non-Permanent Educational Psychologist post is £55,413 per annum (pro-rata).

4. Application forms along with copies of qualification certificates should be submitted to the Department of Personnel & Development via email to recruitment@gibraltar.gov.gi by no later than Friday 23 August 2024.

5. Applicants are required to deliver a ten-minute presentation on the following topic –

‘Describe an example of how you have used psychological theory in your work.’

6. Please note that you will be required to provide all relevant original certificates stated in your application form on the day of your interview.

7. In addition, completed vetting forms along with a copy of identification should be submitted together with your application form by the closing date. Please note that we request copies of identification in order to comply with the Royal Gibraltar Police vetting requirements.

8. Interviews are envisaged to take place prior to the 02 September 2024.
