Gibraltar Financial Intelligence Unit

 

The Gibraltar Development Corporation invites applications for the post of GDC Grade 3 – Financial Intelligence Officer at the Gibraltar Financial Intelligence Unit (GFIU).  Applicants must, by virtue of their citizenship, be entitled to take up employment in Gibraltar, and are, or on employment will be, resident in Gibraltar.

 

Applicants must meet the essential requirements stated in the Job and Person Specification.

 

The post is permanent and carries the following salary scale: £33,876; £34,267; £37,688; £39,152; £39,914; £40,686; £41,478; £42,267; £43,989.

 

The Financial Intelligence Officer forms an essential part of the GFIU's operational capability, contributing directly to the unit's core functions of receiving, analysing, and disseminating financial intelligence in support of law enforcement, regulatory, and international partners. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work at the forefront of Gibraltar's efforts to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and other serious financial crime. As the GFIU continues to grow and modernise its operations, the Financial Intelligence Officer will play a key role in processing and actioning intelligence reports, supporting the unit's risk-based triage approach, and contributing to both domestic casework and international engagements, including those with the Egmont Group and other partner jurisdictions.
