Updates to Transport Legislation - 266/2025

The Ministry of Transport has today published a number of updates to legislation.
These changes include;
- update the definition of cycle lanes along with allowing cyclists to use Saluting Battery.
- increase the fees for immobilisation of vehicles.
- Include changes to red line zones.
- legislate for tunnels to be red route clearways.
- FPN updates for Red Route Zones.
The Government continues to review all areas along with listening to the general public relating to Traffic and Transport and making improvements.
