ROOFTOP LEVEL OF MIDTOWN CAR PARK

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar (HM GoG) invites expressions of interest from developers, investors or organizations interested in developing a residential development scheme at the rooftop level of the Midtown Car Park (outlined in red on the below image for indicative purposes only) exclusively for residential use.

It is envisaged that the development will consist of either a single or two storey structure and which must be sympathetic in design and nature to the existing building and surrounding developments.

Interested parties must produce a full structural survey, feasibility study and method statement for the proposed development, and would need to guarantee and ensure that there is no disruption to the users of the car park in any way before, during or after the construction. It is also a condition that the car park cannot be used as a site office, site storage, goods vehicle access or parking of site vehicles etc. or for any other purpose associated with the construction or development which would reduce the number of parking spaces available to contracted users or to the general public. The successful applicant must obtain full planning consent independently to this EOI process.

Interested parties should understand that submissions need only be initial expressions of interest but should include basic details of any concepts including preliminary layout plans and sketches. They should also state the proposed gross and net built areas and the premium that would be offered if the submission is selected by HM GoG for further negotiations and discussion. HM GoG reserves the right to negotiate the level of premium. A process of consultation and negotiation will follow with parties that submit ideas or concepts that are of interest to HM GoG. Such concepts, ideas or proposals may need to evolve or be adapted as discussions or negotiations move forward.

Outline layout plans and details should be submitted with letters of interest. These should be clearly marked “Residential Development at Rooftop Level of Midtown Car Park - Expressions of Interest” and submitted sealed and addressed to HM Government of Gibraltar and deposited in the Expressions of Interest Box situated at the offices of Land Property Services Limited, 50 Town Range, Gibraltar NOT LATER THAN NOON ON FRIDAY 30^TH SEPTEMBER 2022. Envelopes will remain sealed until after the closing date. HM GoG reserves the right to reject any or all submissions. Applications to be submitted as hard copies and in PDF format via USB drive.

Expressions of Interest delivered after the specified time and date will NOT be considered.
