Her Majesty The Queen has approved that Sunday 14th November will be observed as Remembrance Sunday.  This year, the Ceremony of Remembrance will be held at the British War Memorial on Line Wall Road, opposite City Hall, at noon.  

The Ceremony is organised by HM Government of Gibraltar. His Excellency the Governor, Vice Admiral Sir David Steel, in his capacity as Her Majesty The Queen’s representative in Gibraltar, will lead the service.

On his arrival, His Excellency will read the Bidding. This will be followed by the observance of a Two Minutes Silence, the beginning of which will be signalled by a saluting gun and the Last Post will be sounded. To mark the end of the two-minute silence, the saluting gun will once again fire and will be followed by the Reveille.  Wreaths will be laid and an inter-denominational service will be held.  The Ceremony will conclude with the singing of the National Anthem. 

Medals and decorations may be worn with civilian dress by all those entitled to do so. The medals of deceased Services Personnel may be worn by relatives.

Members of the public are asked to be mindful of the latest COVID-19 advice and to keep a reasonable distance from others.
