The Chief Secretary, Glendon Martinez, yesterday hosted the Public Service Excellence and Innovation Awards, recognising and celebrating individuals, teams, and projects that consistently excel in serving our community and upholding our commitment to excellence and innovation.
Everyone nominated for these awards have been nominated by their fellow colleagues and all winners were selected by an independent external panel. The nominations are a testament not only to the exceptional talent of the nominees, but also to the recognition, respect and shared pride of their teams and co-workers.
Project Achievement Award
Recognises a project that has been launched and executed with an innovative vision, delivering substantial benefits to the service or community.
Team Award for Excellence & Innovation
Honours a team or section that has set itself apart through its dedication, collaboration, and innovative contributions to the success of its department and the wider public service.
Rising Star Award
For individuals from junior to middle management who are within the first five years of their role. A rising star is someone who embodies proactivity, a strong work ethic, and a continuous drive for personal and professional growth.
Charles Collinson Award for Inspirational Leader
Recognises those with a compelling vision, outstanding leadership, and the emotional intelligence to empower colleagues and inspire a positive, high-performing work environment.
The Chief Secretary, Glendon Martinez, said: ‘The Public Service Excellence Awards are an opportunity to recognise the drive and efforts of those who go over and above the call of duty in the delivery of good governance and an excellent service to the public.’
