The Tarab Al Ala Choir, part of the Fundacion Grupal Internacional de los Moriscos, will be visiting Gibraltar as part of its Spring Tour. The event, which will take place on Saturday 5th April at 1pm at John Mackintosh Square and is free of charge, is in Gibraltar courtesy of Anda Luz and with the support of the Ministries for Culture and for relations with Morocco.

Anda Luz is a Moroccan association related to Andalusian culture and heritage focusing on scientific research and history, who collaborate with different partners, including the Royal Academy of Morocco, the Royal Institute of History and different Moroccan and immigrant university bodies.

Registered in Rabat, their objective is to preserve and promote the cultural and historical heritage of the Moriscos, sharing their vision and activities as descendants of the Muslims of Al-Andalus. The group is proud of their rich and diverse history, which has been marked by coexistence and cultural exchanges between the different communities of the Iberian Peninsula, and they are convinced that they can bring added value to relationships worldwide.

Anda Luz strives to strengthen the ties between Moorish communities and the other communities in the region, to promote tolerance, understanding and coexistence, and it maintains that cultural and historical heritage can play an important role in building a more united and harmonious future for all.

This tour is in its second edition and has already been staged in Granada, Ronda and Malaga.
