The Minister for Sport recently welcomed Sensei Tyrone Abdul 6th Dan to discuss all matters Ju-Jitsu.
Sensei Abdul, who is the newly elected President of the United Nations Ju-Jitsu Association (UNJJA), is in Gibraltar on a fact-finding mission where he aims to get know the UNJJA members more closely. Whilst on his visit he was invited by Minister Bruzon to discuss Bushido Gibraltar and the way forward for Ju-Jitsu both locally and internationally.
The Minister for Sport, the Hon Leslie Bruzon, said: “I was delighted to welcome Sensei Abdul to my offices and discuss his aims and objectives at length. It is not every day that the President of such a prestigious organisation takes the time to visit one of his member federations. In fact, Gibraltar has been his first port of call. It was also a pleasure to chat with local stalwarts Sensei Joaquin and Sensei Mojib Benhakim who both continue to work tirelessly for Ju-Jitsu locally. Gibraltar continues to be a standard bearer within its International Federations and Sensei Joaquin and his association are no exception to this.”
