As part of the Youth Symposium, the Minister for Equality, Employment, Culture, Tourism and Youth, the Hon Christian Santos GMD MP, met with young people representing schools, NGOs and various organisations across Gibraltar. The event was well attended, and participants were eager to share their experiences and the challenges they face in their daily lives.

Several key issues were highlighted by the young people during the session. These included discussion about dedicated study space, summer job opportunities, potential work readiness programmes supporting transition to the workforce, and youth spaces for leisure activities.

Minister Santos provided potential solutions whilst encouraging the young people to take an active role in shaping their own opportunities. He reflected on his own experiences with the student association during his time as a student, inspiring attendees to take the initiative in organising events and activities for their peers.

The session saw constructive discussions focused on identifying practical solutions. Minister Santos expressed his gratitude to all those who attended and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with young people to address these important concerns.
