The Minister for Equality, the Hon Christian Santos GMD MP, met with Faye Minshall, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office’s Regional Gender and Equalities Adviser.

Ms Minshall is in Gibraltar for a short visit, during which she will meet with other Government Ministers, officials and relevant stakeholders to discuss a range of matters relating to gender and equality.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss Gibraltar’s ongoing work to advance gender equality, including initiatives to address violence against women and girls, and to strengthen public awareness. They also explored opportunities for continued engagement and the sharing of expertise and good practice.

Minister Santos said: “It was a pleasure to meet with Ms Minshall and discuss our shared priorities. Continued dialogue and collaboration with specialist advisers are invaluable as we further develop Gibraltar’s work on gender equality and ensure that our initiatives remain meaningful, informed and effective.”
