Minister Feetham Welcomes Newly Recruited Tax Analysts  - 459/2025

June 20, 2025

The Honourable Nigel Feetham KC, Minister for Justice, Trade and Industry, met with the two newly appointed Tax Analysts, commending their recruitment as a critical step in enhancing the capability of the Income Tax Office.

The new analysts, Kelly Balestrino and Deirdre Ledesma, have joined the Income Tax Office, where they will support the important work carried out by the Commissioner of Income Tax and the wider team.

Minister Feetham KC said “I am pleased to welcome our new analysts to the team. Their expertise and knowledge will be vital as we continue to modernise our compliance strategies, close the tax gap, and ensure that everyone contributes their fair share.

Every investment we have made in the last year is an investment in fairness and accountability - helping to ensure that we support our public services with the funding they need.”

The two analysts bring specialised backgrounds in audit, accounting, and data analytics. Their work is part of a broader initiative to improve compliance through enhanced data use, cross-agency collaboration, and timely enforcement.

This latest recruitment builds on the work of the two Senior Tax Analysts appointed last year, whose contributions to data analytics and compliance risk assessment have supported a more targeted and data-led approach to tax enforcement.
