The Minister for Justice, Trade and Industry, the Hon Nigel Feetham KC MP, visited HM Prison as part of his regular efforts to stay informed about the wellbeing of inmates and the overall operations of the facility. During his visit, Minister Feetham took the time to speak to as many inmates as wished to engage with him.

Among those he interacted with were the young adult population and Moroccan inmates, ensuring their specific needs and concerns were heard. Minister Feetham personally inquired about their wellbeing. He was assured that all was in order.

In addition to speaking with inmates, Minister Feetham took the opportunity to congratulate four new recruits to the prison service. The two male and two female prison officers were formally welcomed by the Minister, who expressed his confidence in their ability to contribute positively to the running of the facility. 

Minister Feetham reiterated the Government’s ongoing commitment to supporting both the inmates and staff at HM Prison.
