Laguna Youth Club recently organised an educational trip to London for a group of ten young people, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore the UK’s capital, experience new environments and take part in a range of engaging activities.
During their time in London, the group took part in a wide variety of experiences designed to be both educational and enjoyable. Highlights included a visit to the Science Museum, where young people explored interactive exhibits and hands-on learning opportunities, as well as a visit to the London Dungeon which provided an engaging and immersive look into the city’s history.
In addition to organised activities, the young people had the chance to explore some of London’s most iconic areas, including Hyde Park, Westminster, Covent Garden and the South Bank, giving them a broader cultural experience and helping to build independence and social skills.
The trip was carefully planned with a strong focus on safeguarding, behaviour expectations and group cohesion. Young people were supported to navigate busy public environments safely, develop responsibility, and represent their youth service positively.
Speaking about the trip, Laguna Youth Club manager Jamie Napoli, said: “We wanted to give our young people an opportunity to experience something different, step outside their comfort zones, and create lasting memories. It was fantastic to see them grow in confidence, support one another and fully engage with everything London has to offer.”
The trip forms part of the Gibraltar Youth Service’s ongoing commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for young people, promoting personal development and encouraging positive experiences outside of their everyday environment.
