Import Duty Removed for Wooden Cutlery - 581/2019

Government has introduced Regulations removing all duty on cutlery and tableware made of wood. This is in order to encourage the use of alternatives to plastic and is in addition to the legislation that has already been introduced banning a wide range of single use plastic items.
This is in keeping of the Government’s commitment to the environment, and particularly to the fight against plastic pollution of the ocean.
