His Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar notes the Gibraltar Police Authority announcement of the retirement and consequent vacancy for the Commissioner of Police.

The recruitment process will consist of a panel made up of the Chairman of the Gibraltar Police Authority, a member appointed by His Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar and a member appointed by the Governor of Gibraltar, plus three more members.

The Government welcomes the high standard that is being asked of applicants, which must have a proven track record of leadership and management in a senior police role, at the rank of UK chief officer, or UK superintendent or Gibraltar or other equivalent.

There will also be a relocation allowance for applicants recruited from overseas to ensure the best quality of potential candidates can apply.
