Last week a cheque for £505 was presented to Governor’s Meadow Lower Primary School by parent Mrs Stephanie Chiara. On hearing news of the damage caused by the recent fire, Mrs Stephanie Chiara organised a GoFundme Page and in just a short space of time a total of £505 was raised. Mr Latin, acting head teacher, was very grateful to Mrs Chiara for this initiative and for the generosity of all those who contributed to this fund. The money will help replace some of the additional resources destroyed by the recent fire, such as jigsaw puzzles and Lego.

Minister for Education John Cortes commented: “This is a great example of Gibraltar’s Community spirit and shows that parents, as well as staff, have rallied round to get the school back in shape after the fire.”
