Government monitoring developments at World Scout Jamboree - 535/2023

His Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar are closely monitoring the situation at the 25th World Scout Jamboree held at SaeManGeum in South Korea, which is suffering an intense heatwave that is affecting the infrastructure, including sanitation, of the camp.
The Government understands that the UK Scouts Organisation, of which Gibraltar is a member, will move all their scouts on camp to hotels in Seoul by tomorrow morning, where they plan to stay for the remainder of their trip.
The Government will remain in close contact with Gibraltar Scouts in order to monitor developments and offer whatever support may be necessary.
