HMGoG is saddened to confirm a further death in Gibraltar from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths in our community related to COVID-19 to 94.
The deceased was a man aged 75-80 years old, who had underlying health conditions. He died today of hospital acquired pneumonia as a result of COVID-19. This will be recorded in today’s statistics as a death from COVID-19.
The Chief Minister, the Hon Fabian Picardo, said:
“My deepest condolences lie with the family and friends of the deceased. It is with great sadness that we must confirm another death within our community to COVID-19.
As we go lifting restrictions we must all remain both prudent and cautious in our approach to this virus. It is now more important than ever to follow Public Health advice.
Wear a mask when required, wash your hands as often as you need to, keep a safe distance from others and call 111 if you have any symptoms.”
