Minister for Equality, Employment, Culture and Tourism, the Hon Christian Santos GMD MP, and delegates of the Gibraltar Tourist Board attended the TTG Travel Industry Awards 2026, held at the Roundhouse in London on Wednesday 23 September.

Visit Gibraltar was shortlisted for the Destination for Change Award; an award that recognises tourist boards and destination organisations working to create a more sustainable, responsible and inclusive visitor economy.

Eight other international destinations were shortlisted, including the Netherlands, Jamaica, Spain, Switzerland and Türkiye, with the award going to Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency.

Visit Gibraltar's inclusion amongst the shortlisted destinations providing valuable recognition for Gibraltar and the work being undertaken to develop its tourism offering, especially at this prestigious event that brings together leading organisations and professionals from across the UK and Ireland travel sector, celebrating achievement and innovation across the industry.

Visit Gibraltar sponsored the Sustainable Travel Company of the Year category with Minister Santos presenting the award to Explore Worldwide, recognised for its work in responsible and sustainable travel.
