The Gibraltar Tourist Board (GTB) along with the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) organised an exhibitors’ event at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel. This is part of the two-day CLIA Destination Showcase being hosted by Gibraltar for the first time.

The Showcase opened on Sunday 15th September in the evening with a welcome event at the Mons Calpe Suite followed by the start of the conference on board the Holland America Line Nieuw Statendam Monday morning. The agents in attendance were then invited to the Sunborn in the afternoon to be able to connect with businesses running local excursions, activities and tourist sites.

The GTB CEO Mr Kevin Bossino and his team hosted the visiting travel agents who sell cruises and cruise destination activity packages, and aided the exhibitors promote their offerings.

Minister for Equality, Employment, Culture and Tourism, The Hon Christian Santos GMD MP, said: “This exhibition is the perfect vehicle for local businesses to advertise the unique and valuable tourist experiences that Gibraltar has to offer. I was pleased to join the GTB team to promote Gibraltar to CLIA, who are the largest cruise trade association in the world.”
