The Gibraltar College held its award ceremony earlier this week at Rock Bastion's terrace at Campion Park.
The occasion celebrates the achievements of College students and provides the opportunity to recognise those who have made a contribution through the past academic year.
Opening the event, College Principal Daniel Benrimoj congratulated recipients and thanked the staff for their work throughout the year. He also thanked the sponsors - Bassadone Motors, Travel Counsellors and GTR - who had arranged placements for College students this year, and highlighted the fact that as a result, some of these head been employed in the firms.
Minister for Education John Cortes stressed the relevance of the College in Gibraltar and how this was developing, and looked forward to the next eighteen months during which the new College at its Europa Point site will be constructed.
There were performances at the event by GAMPA/College Music Performance BTEC Students Stella Navas, Kate Williamson and Adele Caetano and a recital from King Lear by Performing Arts BTEC student Nicholas Raggio.
