NORTHERN DEFENCES - GIBRALTAR

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE PROVISION OF ACTIVITIES

His Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar (HMGOG) invites ‘Expressions of Interest’ from organisations and/or operators interested in entering into an agreement with HMGoG for the provision of leisure / recreational and educational activities within a part of the Northern Defences. The successful applicant would be granted a licence to conduct the activities.

HMGoG’s preferred option is to secure an agreement with one operator to co-ordinate and deliver a holistic package integrating a series of activities. These would include but not be limited to the indicative activities set out below.

• Guided historical tours of the monuments and tunnels;
• Wall-climbing, rope climbing, obstacle courses, ziplining and target-oriented activities (e.g., archery);
• Calisthenics and similar exercise and wellbeing activities;

In addition, HMGoG will expect:

• Payment of a premium;
• Payment of a monthly fee;
• Upgrading of the heritage features;
• Upgrading and provision of attractions within the Northern Defences;
• Provision of an educational programme to support local curriculums.
• Provision of training and employment in relation to the activities stated above;

HMGoG will not consider proposals that seek to transfer ownership of the Northern Defences away from HMGoG or those that would impact negatively on the monuments, tunnels and natural environment of the land.

All ‘Expressions of Interest’ together with accompanying documentation detailing the proposal(s) should be marked “Northern Defences Expressions of Interest” and submitted sealed and addressed to HM Government of Gibraltar and deposited in the Expressions of Interest Box (with a USB memory stick inside the envelope) situated at the offices of Land Property Services Limited, 50 Town Range, Gibraltar, not later than noon on Friday 26^th January 2024.  Envelopes will remain sealed until after the closing date. HMGoG reserves the right to reject any or all submissions.

Important.  This notice creates no legal rights or obligations and cannot be relied on for such purpose. By submitting an expression of interest, the individual/entity consents to their name being published in any future tender award notices.
