Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar (HM GoG) invites expressions of interest from developers for the development of renewable on-shore wind projects.  Proposed schemes should produce up to 0.5 megawatts of power.  Potential sites for development include the South Mole, roundabouts and Eastern Beach car park.  Proposals for alternative sites will also be considered.

Interested parties’ expressions of interest should include details of concepts, including preliminary layout plans and sketches.  Proposals submitted must be compatible with the area and be sensitive to the surrounding environment and surrounding properties, as well as ensuring no impacts on birds or bats.

Outline layout plans and details should be submitted with letters of interest.  These should be marked “Renewable On-Shore Wind Power Expressions of Interest” and submitted sealed and addressed to HM Government of Gibraltar and deposited in the Expressions of Interest Box situated at the offices of the Department of the Environment and Climate Change, 2b Leanse Place, 50 Town Range, Gibraltar, not later than noon on Friday July 26th 2019. Envelopes will remain sealed until after the closing date. HM GoG reserves the right to reject any or all submissions.
