Don’t let down your guard this weekend - 199/2021

March 05, 2021

The Government urges residents of Gibraltar to continue to follow Public Health advice and not let down their guard this weekend, the first since catering establishments re-opened on 1st March.

Catering establishments must follow strict guidelines. Staff must be double-masked, social distance must be maintained and there are restrictions on the sale of alcohol and table numbers. A maximum of 6 customers may be seated at the same table.

Members of the public are urged to behave responsibly and continue to follow advice. Wear a mask where required, wash hands as often as possible, maintain a safe social distance from others and call 111 if you notice any symptoms. Testing and contact tracing remains an essential part of Gibraltar’s Unlock the Rock strategy.

Minister for Health, Samantha Sacramento, said: ‘As we gradually Unlock the Rock it is vital that we do not let our guard down. It is crucial to continue to follow the rules and keep our loved ones safe. The only way that we will keep COVID-19 at bay is if we all play our part’.
