Chief Minister encourages all Gibraltarians in London area to attend traditional Gibraltar Day Mass in Fulham - 791/2026

October 16, 2026

The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo will travel to London today for the Gibraltar Day in London events taking place next week.

Before the business, financial services and diplomatic events take place, a special Gibraltar Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Dolours Servite Church in Fulham at 11:00am on Sunday 18th October. The service is now a longstanding tradition in the Gibraltar Day in London calendar, commemorating the evacuation of many hundreds of Gibraltarians to the area during the Second World War. The Church holds a Statue of Our Lady of Europe, given in thanks by the people of Gibraltar to the local community for their warm reception.

All Gibraltarians and friends of Gibraltar who are able, are welcome to attend the Mass, which will be conducted by Bishop Charlie Azzopardi. Refreshments will be available in the Parish Hall after the Service. The Chief Minister will be in attendance, alongside the Minister for Business Gemma Arias-Vasquez and Minister for Financial Services Nigel Feetham, whose Ministries are both hosting specialised events as part of the wider Gibraltar Day in London package.

The Chief Minister will host the Gibraltar Financial Services lunch at the Guildhall on Monday, before taking part in a highly anticipated fireside chat with former Chief Minister Sir Peter Caruana KC at the flagship GibLink London event at the OXO Tower on Tuesday evening.

The Gibraltar Day in London programme of events also include a diplomatic reception and a three-day series of finance sector-focussed events hosted by the Minister for Financial Services.

The Chief Minister is expected to return to Gibraltar on Thursday.
