Following their 60th Anniversary celebrations GABBA continues to have a busy year. The Minister for Sport, the Hon Leslie Bruzon, has commented: “It is no mean feat to have four representative squads involved in European competitions over the course of the summer. Aside from those travelling abroad, Gibraltar will also be hosting the U16 Women’s EuroBasket C Division from the 9th to 14th July. It would be great to see a packed-out Tercentenary Sports Hall to support these young women. I wish all the squads well!”

The U16 Men will also be involved in the EuroBasket C Division competition the week of the 9th to 14th July. They will be in Tirana, Albania, and have been drawn against San Marino, Kosovo and Armenia in the group stage. The U18 Men will also be travelling to Albania later in July, from 23rd to 28th July specifically. Elbasan will be hosting the EuroBasket C Division Under 18 Men where Gibraltar have been drawn against Luxembourg, Albania and San Marino in their respective group stage. First up, however, it is the turn of the Senior Men’s squad who will be participating in the FIBA European Championships for Small Countries to be held in Andorra la Vella, Andorra from the 25th to the 30th June.
