Meetings to co-ordinate works in the Bayside area continue, with the Minister for Transport and Technical Services, John Cortes, whose portfolio includes Infrastructure, once again meeting with representatives of the projects last week.
The meeting as attended by representatives of the Ministry for Transport, the Technical Services Department, the Gibraltar Electricity Authority, Gibraltar Sports and Leisure Authority, Gibraltar Football Association Stadium project, One Bayside, Bayside Central, the Marriott Hotel development, Monument Place and Petroil.
Plans and timelines of all the projects planned for the area were discussed, including infrastructure works, in order to ensure good communication between all those involved, and minimise disruption to residents and other users of the area.
Minister for Transport and Technical Services, John Cortes said: “It is vitally important that all the entities involved on the various projects in the area, be they public services or private businesses, developers and contractors, are in constant communication and co-ordinate works so that the projects go smoothly and with the least possible inconvenience to the public. I think that these regular meetings are very helpful in ensuring this. They will continue to be held regularly, and at the same time all the players are ensuring that they communicate with each other between meetings.”
