Young Helpers and Young Leaders of the Youth Service spent the mid-term break transforming the Youth Centre into a spooky Halloween venue for younger members.
The young volunteers worked together to plan, prepare and decorate the centre, using their creativity and teamwork to organise a special evening for the younger age groups. Held on Thursday 29 October, the Halloween party welcomed an impressive 73 young people aged 7 to 12 from Dolphins, Plater and Laguna Youth Clubs.
There was lots to enjoy, with food and sweets, a photo booth, mystery boxes, face painting and a lively disco. The children also took part in musical statues and a fancy dress competition, showing off some fantastic and imaginative costumes. The evening was filled with laughter, excitement and plenty of Halloween spirit.
The event gave younger members a chance to come together, enjoy Halloween and spend time with friends, while highlighting the valuable contribution of the Youth Service’s Young Helpers and Young Leaders.
A big thank you goes to all the young volunteers who gave up their mid-term break to plan and host the party, and to everyone who supported the event and helped make it such a success.
