Other Services

Building and Works:

Building and Workscomes under the overall responsiblility of the Miniistry for Housing. The Main Offices of the Buildings and Works are currently located at number located at number 31 Town Range, Gibraltar. Its main role is to provide for the maintenance and refurbishment of Government rented accommodation. To contact their Head Office please call telephone number 76389, or Fax 79377.

Reports are taken by the Reporting Office located at the City Hall and these can be made in person at the counters (see above opening hours) or by telephoning the office on 48440 or 48441, including Daytime Emergencies, For the After Hours Emergency Service please call telephone 78835. Any report for repairs is then communicated to Buildings and Works who will attend to the problem.

Cleaning of the Housing Estates:

The Ministry for Housing is currently contracting the services of Master Service (Gib) Ltd for the cleaning of the Housing Estates. Their address is The Stone Block, Unit 5B, The New Harbours, Gibraltar. Any queries concerning the cleaning of the estates can be directed to their Hot Line on telephone 70400, or Fax 75700.

Technical Division:

The Ministry for Housing provides professional services including Engineering, Quantity Surveying and Building Surveying. Their Office is located on the second floor of the City Hall, John Mackintosh Square, and thier main role isto manage the technical aspects of the Ministry's services, including preparation of tenders, supervision of contrators and attending to building applications withiin Housing Estates.
